Winter Updates
Winter Updates: What We've Been Up To at De Leeuwenhof Estate
This past winter at De Leeuwenhof Estate was one for the books—the wettest and rainiest season we've experienced since being in Paarl. But with all that rain comes the promise of a lush, vibrant landscape and a beautiful, warm summer ahead. While the weather may have been chilly, we kept ourselves busy making some fantastic improvements to the estate.
Going Green: Solar Panels Installed
We’ve taken a big step toward sustainability by installing solar panels on the estate. Now, we’re harnessing the power of the sun to provide clean, renewable energy, ensuring that De Leeuwenhof not only offers an authentic farm experience but is also eco-friendly.
Outdoor Tent in the Tea Garden
Our formerly known Tea Garden has had a stunning makeover with the addition of a new outdoor tent. This space is perfect for those warm, sunny days we’re expecting in summer. Whether you're enjoying a leisurely afternoon or hosting an event, the tent offers a stylish and relaxed atmosphere with views of the estate.
Patio Upgrades for Apartments and Classic Stable Rooms
To enhance your comfort, we’ve also upgraded the patios of our apartments and classic old stable rooms. The new look combines charm and comfort, creating the ideal space for you to unwind with a book or enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the serene farm surroundings.
A Bittersweet Farewell to Old Oak Trees
Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to some of our old oak trees, which were lost during a storm. While it was sad to see them go, rest assured that the beauty and character of the estate remain intact. We’ve made sure the aesthetic continues to reflect the timeless charm that makes De Leeuwenhof so special.
